Sharing economy as an alternative direction for cities development

The sharing economy is becoming part of an area of the social economy and constitutes new economicsocial course built around human and financial resources. The purpose of this article is presentation of theoretical and practical approach towards sharing economy in the context of municipal issues. As a means of pooling expertise the article uses literature studies in the scope of sharing economy. Thinking about the future of cities should be directed at creating new community strategies, in which the idea of sharing economy can be helpful. The sharing economy is giving a number of solutions which it is possible to take into account in the development strategy of Polish cities in order to improve the quality of life of residents.
